Ravens trade DT Ngata to the Lions

Ngata had one year remaining on his deal. The Lions get him at just $8.5M for the 2015 season (but an extension is VERY likely). He leaves behind $7.5M in dead cap to the Ravens, who save the $8.5M this year. Baltimore sent a 7th round pick to Detroit, who returned a 4th and 5th round pick.

Saints trade TE Graham to the Seahawks

Graham has 3 years $27M remaining on his contract now with Seattle. He had originally carried an $11M cap figure. Add in $9M in dead cap to the Saints, and they saw a savings of just $2M from his removal. The Saints get back C Max Unger, who has cap figures of $4.5M in both 2015 and 2016, and a 2015 1st round pick. Graham is set to count $8M, $9M, and $10M over the next 3 years with the Seahawks.

QB Bradford traded to the Eagles

The Sam Bradford project comes to an end in St. Louis. He leaves behind just $3.595 million in dead cap to the Rams, bringing a $12.985M cap to the Eagles in the final year of his contract. In return, Nick Foles carries a $1.362 million cap in the final year of his deal. Neither has any guaranteed money left. The Rams also receive the Eagles’ 2nd round pick this year in the deal.
